High Elf Lord
Mainly painted to experiment with purple shading red (rather than my usual browns) and to try and improve my silver metallics technique. I went for a softer highlighting approach than usual, since it's not something I've got a great deal of experience in (most previous work being sharp contrasting line/edge highlights) and it's something I need to work on for the future. With basing being one of the major detracting points from my previous stuff (golden daemon entries especially), I put a lot of work into getting this one part of the scene, as opposed to just tacked on at the last minute and given a quick drybrush. Hopefully the work shows. All in all, fairly pleased with the outcome. Plenty of room for improvement yet, but I'll get to where i want to be eventually :p
