Alastriel, Elf Mage

Here's my painting of Werner Klocke's "Alastriel, Elf Mage" by Reaper. This is something like the 4th model I've painted since coming back to the hobby and probably the one I've spent the most time on. It's also the first model that I've attempted to do Blending to get the cloth looking with different shades and keeping away from dry brushing any part of the model. Over all I am happy with the way she's come out, she's far from perfect but so are my painting skills :) but I enjoyed painting her. If you want to leave comments / criticisms then please do, its the way forward for me so I'd love to hear peoples views. Nick.

This one shows a definite improvement on your previous minis. As has already been said more contrast is needed but for your first attempt at blending it's not bad at all. I think you done a great job on the purple robes and I like the hair to. Also this mini shows you are developing your understanding of light , i.e. the highlights are correctly placed. Keep up the good work, practise your blending and avoid dry-brushing like the plague! :-)

Far too low a score on this one. Some really nice and sublte blends. A little more contrast and definition of features and you'll be getting higher scores in no time. Keep up the good work.

Definatly heading in the right direction and for a first try at blending very well done. The cloth looks very good, the main part that needs help is the skin it needs the contrast pushed up on hit. Keep up the good work :)
