Vampire Count
Hi there, first i thought those new GW Vampires are not that what i could call a vampire in my imagination - then i saw that sculpt from some other artists and after the day i had hold a glued one from a friend in my hand i knew that this is really a wonderful sculpt which can't be left without colour. So dynamich and full of power in my opinion. I focused my paintwork mostly on the wing to bring out an eyecatcher - thought how it would look like if it breaks out of his flesh right this moment and i tried to get that moment but sitll take care not to drown everything in pure gore - still wanted to hold this almighty never ending live glory of a vampire. The blood things on the wing have been a spontainiuos work with some weird effects of inks, red colour and glue - brought it on after painting with a toothpick. The base is done with some parts of Confrontation Statues, nature's offers and 2 gravestones from GW. I brought back the blood theme as i see this fitting to the vampire dark theme... I know that i could have taken some more time on a lot of parts but that "Crouhhnkkkzzz-breaking-splattering-bloody-wing-thing" catched my attention to much to go further on the rest^^... worked about 18 hours on that guy over the last week... Thanks to everyone who leaves a vote or comment - i'll try to honour you back in time... Hope you like him... Regards jar PS: Painted for a collector!
