Haela

Haela by Hasslefree Miniatures I painted a Haela back in January for the Wyrd painting competition 'Femme Fatale' Believe it or not, but Haela is a dwarf... a pretty and very small dwarf by Hasslefree Miniatures. I love this model and thoroughly enjoyed painting her - even though this was the most NMM I've painted on any one model (virtually full plate armour). I wanted to paint a very natural piece and kept to muted tones of browns and greys, and put her in a wind swept snow-covered scene. The tree is made from a bundle of wire twisted and split and covered in a strange substance called 'Squadron Green' for texture. I have tried really pull the model into the snowy scene - footprints, a light dusting of snow on her boots and along the bottom of her coat and rosey wind-chilled cheeks. I hope you like her - she sure was a lot of fun to do!
