Noecromunda House Escher Juve

My first mini up on CMON, and I think probably my personal best to date. The base is a bit bland, but the mini is intended for actual use rather than just display, so it's much more practical. All comments and criticism welcome.

Congratulations on your debut. I remember when I was painting my minis with similar results. You are very close to the breakthrough, which will enhance your skills like never before. Now few words about the mini. Overall it’s a very good job, definitely over the tabletop quality, however there are some lacks in your technique, which should be improved. I’m not satisfied with your metallics. Use NMM or get some useful info in tutorials on CMON. Other thing - You need to improve your highlighting. Remember that you must highlight the areas, which are fronted to the light source (for beginning I would suggest using light falling directly from top of your model) not ones, which are just sticking out from the model. What is more it’s indispensable to use more layers of paint when highlighting and blending. I would suggest 5 or more layers. So buy more colors or use palette consecutively adding more white to base color (or lighter color from the same color group ) when adding new layer. Another thing is that, You need to create better bases. I don’t mean scenic creations, however try to make it at least neat. Also make your photos with different angle. It’s better to show more of the base. You can also use darker background, because on white the colors are more bright. And what is most important, never work with haste. Painting a model with rating 8 and higher takes usually more than 25 hours. I think that’s all for now. If you are interested check my minis. (I’ve converted the same escher). Anyway, its great debut. Keep up the good work.
