40K Thousand Sons Chaos Daemon Prince

A model I painted for a client. I really wanted this big guy to be as "otherworldly" as possible, without conversions (the client didn't request any). To this end, I thought of doing the sword with a Jacob's ladder effect (you know... like those two poles with electricity crackling up between them you keep seeing in mad scientist's labs). The armour plates have stars painted on them (fresh from the warp!). Lastly, I added the bisected corpse of a Space Wolf (traditional enemies of the Thousand Sons legion) on the base to match the helmet trophy at his belt. Unfortunately, these pictures aren't going to do the model any justice, unless your monitor is MUCH larger than mine. :)

paint job is excellent, of course. the model itself is really.... umm... busy. i might have toned down the gold trim in the body a little bit to focus the model in your place; the corpse-base takes it into busy-overkill land. don't get me wrong, i could never paint like this though :)

A verticle picture would have allowed you to post bigger pics. I had to enlarge this just to see his face good. Before I did so I was thinking a 7.
