Grotesquely overrated... In my opinion. I believe you should have made sure to paint ALL of the miniature, rather than leave some of the undercoat showing in places in which there would be lighting/color. I would also recommend using watered down paints. The watering down is key. Is there a 'no flash' setting on your camera? if there is, use it. I don't mean to be hyper critical, but I these are my opinions/recommendations.
