The Emperor's Champion (Martyrius Vir Imperatoris)

This is the result of my first wet-blending, washing, layering, drybrushing, and highlighting combo:) Before this mini I didn't use any of these techniques, only highlighting. Hope you like it, and think it's cool. I'm very pleased with it:) the backpack is missing, 'couse, i want to give it a chaos packpack, so you'll have to be patient with that!

I've got some negative and positive things. first of all: I like the sword, if you are as much an apprentice as you say, you've got some hell of a talent there! second of all: what's up with wanting to give him a Chaos backpack? That's seriously the worst conversion ever, giving the EMPEROR'S CHAMPION a CHAOS bit.. that's a betrayal worse than that of Horus and half the Primarchs, it's natural to rebel against your parents, not against your lord! third of all: as has been said before, white is a difficult colour, but even though he should be black -being a member of the BLACK Templars- I do like the idea of painting him white, it makes him stand out. however, the shine on it, no good. Try skipping the washes next time.. all together: a fine job, keep practising, and one day you'll find yourself standing at the Golden Daemon, holding one yourself.

The white has a sloppy feel to it. A very difficult color to paint even for veterans, add wet blending on top of that and you've got a mix only a professional could pull of. My advice, don't stop practicing.

Did he sell his backpack to get the new white coloured armour? Well painted, friend. Keep it up. btw, 5.9 is WAY underrated.
