Medieval Soldier

A good friend gave me his childhood collection of minis and this simple but nicely sculpted fighter was one of them. I am not sure what Ral Partha line he comes from, but the large round shield and simple helmet reminded me of depictions I have seen of medieval European soldiers. I wanted to keep his appearance simple and unadorned as would befit a regular infantry soldier. Hope you like him, and comments always welcomed.

Very nice Treide! I love the natural tones with a bit of color in the beard. I bet this has to be one of their historical line, but can't recognize it off hand. But wait! I just looked through the direct mail order catalog for Ral Partha, and in that catalog it's miniature number DH-244, and on the list of product he's called "Saxon Fyrdman w/Sword & Round Shield". Just in case you were wondering...
