I'll agree with all your comments Avelorn. Actually I have started these minis when my painting style was that of extreme highlights but I found them demanding and left them unfinished for some time. When I got to finish them my painting style has changed to more "natural" highlights but I decided to finish them using my old style to keep consistency throughout the squad. It's also a homage to my previous painting style. The last (and best) of my figures painted in that style. :)
Very precise work! :) Clean and crisp! I only suggest to push the highlights on some places, like som har edges to further enhance the feeling of light hitting a surface. Yes the red does look flat, even if some of it is due to the picture you can probably do the highlights a little brighter still. Sven
