Faramir's Rangers

Painted for the National LoTR contest, took under 3 hours (very last minute job!) :D They didn't allow any conversion, otherwise I'd have done something for the bowstring. Anyway I really love these models, and the 'Eavy Metal scheme for them was just about perfect. I used the Masterclass article as a rough guide for most of the shades, and mixed up a few of my own too. Their green recipe is a bit off, it says 1:1:1 Dark Angels, Black, Bestial Brown but it's more like 4:2:1 Dark Angels, Black, Bestial. Oh well, I noticed early so I fixed it :D Also used a NMM gold for the scrollwork, easier to do than real gold I think. All in all I really like how it turned out, the green is pretty cool and the hastily done water effect turned out better than I thought it would. 15 seconds to slop on some white glue and cover it in CA superglue (then an hour of waiting to dry) and it only took a couple layers of careful drybrushing to get it done.
