Bilbo Baggins
i have re-posted this with better photos: this is my entry for the latest painting competition over on our ebay group, the theme being 'concerning hobbits'. i went for bilbo as a quick job as i was time pressed and wasnt looking forward to painting the tiny little fella but i actually really enjoyed doing him. I tried to get a more sinister expression to the usual Bilbo ones, he has the ring in his hand and i can just picture him saying "my precious!" (thankyou to dragonsreach for a great article on faces with expressions). i then wanted to contrast Bilbo's sinister mood with his other persona hence the sweet garden base. probably one of my best paintjobs technically but would love to know what you guys think Cheers, Brett
