Crypt of the Sorcerer

This is a commission piece that I recently wrapped up. The challenge here was to bring a 2d map from the early 80's tabletop game, Heritage Dungeon Dwellers, and reproduce it as a 3d playable gaming piece. This piece is in true 25mm scale, and measures 17" x 12". I built the board itself out of high density foam, re-enforced with foamcore. The crypt itself is scratchbuilt, and the chests are from mega-minis and also scratchbuilt. The miniatures themselves were from Heritage Dungeon Dwellers, and painted by Darron Lafleur. Some of the chests are storbought, some are scratchbuilt. A fun bit of this piece, is that all of the doors are functional, using DuBro model airplane hinges to swing the doors. http://www.dungeon-dwellers.info/
