You could give the blades and the ball on the end of the chain a few more washes to make them look older and more diseased. I've found when washing flat areas that wiping the area over with kitchen towel is often a helpful way of removing excess and avoiding pooling lines. Similarly the clean metal (I.E. not green) armour and chainmail could be given a rust effect - I've found some good ideas as to how to do that on this site.
