WTF are people thinking giving this thing a low grade ??!! It really deserves better than a 6.5! Sure the picture is a bit poor but even with that u can tell its a good mini.
Undercoat white and then paint all armour sections with thinned blood red until it is even. Mix blood red and red gore and shade on the lower parts of the armour plates (refer to my model if u need to). Keep adding red gore and a little chaos black to the mix until u are satisfied with the result.
Mixing blood red and Fiery Orange to highlight the edge of certain plates (again see my model). Make sure the paint is thinned at each stage!! It may take longer but it gives a smoother/better effect when finished. Once u have finished painting the armour in this way u must use a technique known as blacklining. This is simply (but sometimes difficultly) adding thin black lines where the plates meet and other colours touch the armour. You ca do this with a very fine pen (0.2mm or smaller) although i think painting the black lines or painting very carefully and leaving black lines while u go is better.
It just seemed to come out really good this time around. :)
