A very challenging miniature full of well defined details and this surely must have been a pleasure to paint. I see lots of fine workmanship on the painting. However I do think that you could improve two things on it. Soften the transitions on the red trousers and change the background. The dark colour is reducing the whole minis overall aspect making it less eyecatching than it really is. Ooops spotted a possible historical anomoly on the sculpture, the pistol in the waist band is a Flintlock, when the dress period suggests that it would be more likely to be a Wheelock. (Ok I'm being a real geek there). :D
