I always wanted to paint one of these babies but always hated the thought of spending a huge amount of money on one model.....then viola! The US government decides to give us all a tax rebate check (to boost our economy lol). So....I did what every red blooded american should have done....I spent the money on a product from England LOL. But seriously, this model was REALLY fun to paint. I used Astronomican Grey Foundation as the base color, Washed the whole model in Badab black, then reapplied the grey. Highlights are very subtle because I wanted it to look as real as possible. They are just lighter shades of the same basecoat grey. Some may think the paint scheme is boring and monochromatic....but it was picked to go along with my Cadian Shock troops army. The flying base was just sort of thrown together because the entire model has a slight lean to it when sitting on the ground. I know that it isnt pretty. It was built to be sturdy and functional because this transport is actually going to see use. BTW I am a horrible photographer with a slightly less horrible camera. Please feel free to comment!
