Mahud King

I was very happy to receive an Honorable Mention for this piece at GDLA 2008. The Golden Demon was extremely tough this year and it was a privilege to compete among such painters. I had a handful of LOTR models to consider painting for the competition, but none seemed unique enough. I like to paint models that are not very popular, so I figured I'd toss some paint on this Mahud King. Don't see many of the bad guys these days anyway :) The face was not cast very well so I had to resculpt parts of it. I gave him new eyes and lips. I also clipped off the tab on his back and used green stuff to smooth it out, as I did not want to put the banner on (I dislike large back-banners. Who's gonna want to carry that on their back anyway?) lol I tried my fabric textures again. Those are always fun! Thanks for looking. Any Comments/Critique are always welcomed. I make sure to return the favor.

Best version of this mini I have seen. Nice color choices and I love the cloth texture.
