The trick to NMM is to have reference materials handy, photos of armour and weapons, a big spoon is really handy to see how light falls on a curved surface at different angles. Also check to see how reflections look on different types of metal. It takes a while to get the hang of it, but you'll find it a piece of piss after a while.
The photos really don't do it justice. The lighting is too bright. The fig is much more toned down in person. My camera is fine, but I need suggestions on the lighting.
