Belial Greater Daemon

I plan to use this as a greater daemon of Slannesh in my WHFB army. I would appreciate any critical comments or suggestions. Thanks!

Hello...ok, some comments. Are you willing to go back and add more work to it? If so..you can try this. See the muscles/tendons on the body? see how there are layers? on the top layer, you can make it a bit more pale by going over VERY carefully with thinned pink/beige mix. Do this maybe twice..but very carefully. do not get it on the stuff behind/below. The stuff between, do a few glazes of red, purple, and finally a darker colour like dark blue or even black (but very thin!!!!) For the horns...go over a few times with thin pink/beige mix. Then some washes with brown/black. And then dry brush gently with a beige, and then white closer to the tips. Finally, you can do some washes with deep blue and then purple. the blade...try painting it a metal colour. Then using whatever colours you want..VERY Thin (maybe 15:1 water:paint), apply glazes all over. Once you get some colour variations in it, to make it look very outwordly, you can start adding darker colours towards whichever side you want to shade. Towards the opposite end, some lighter metallic washes. THis is very quick and don't have a lot of time to think of some ways to improve. General ideas are to use glazing and washes to deepen colours, add contrast, shade, and/or add effects if you don't want to try realistic shadows all over (not really needed). Currently, the model is VERY neat. But not enuff depth, hence the score. It's like it was basecoated twice..and that's pretty much it. You can post pics and ask questions in the forums, where others (much better painters/sculptors) can help more. Sanjay
