I agree. The skin is outstanding, but the metals are very flat. They don't necessarily need more decorations, but you could definitely use some layers to your metals.
Try starting out with a copper or bronze and mixing up to a shinier bright silver metal. Or use layers of inks (brown ink, then highlight silver, then chestnut ink, then highlight silver then red or fleshwash, then highlight silver). That way you could get the kinf of depth that you have on your skin to show up in the metal.
Very nice skin and loincloth, the metal however doesn't look the same standard. Especially the shield could probably have done better with more decorations instead of just metal paint. At least more shading and grittiness. Now it just looks like a off piece of metal glued to an otherwise very good painted model. The axe and armor looks better, but it too could in my opinion have benefitted from some more shading and "grittiness" (which would fit with the overall apperance of this bad ass troll).
