Tyranid Carnifex multiple angles, 1st price Swedish entry
At last, here is my promised upload with more than one pic in one upload all thanks to the forum and GIMP. So here's the story about this mini. I assembled it during '04 but couldn't come up with a cool color scheme so I left it unpainted until winter '07. During this time I didn't have much to do, so I came up with the idea of looking for inspiration for color schemes on my carnifex. I took my time and decided that a desert inspired color scheme would be cool and it would also giva a more natural and organic feeling to the model. Pictures of creatures such as desert crickets, locusts and land crabs were just the right thing, so after some tryouts I had found exactly what I wanted. The result is what you see. It took home first place in the "40k Large Monsters and Vehicles" category here in Sweden. I can say that I'm satisfied with the outcome of this model, and it took many hours to finish, but throughout the project I have learned new things which I will incorporate in my future projects. For next years competition I have a new project in mind, a Khorne Lord riding a berserker dragon. Until then... Feel free to make a comment about the mini, maybe what's good or what's not so good. P.S. Sorry for my bad English, I'm from Sweden.
