I'm confused on the before shot. That just looks like an upainted mini to me with some GS used to make the base a bit more interesting. Is this a conversion or something? Regarding the painted guy, he looks suitably nasty. I'm not a fan of the gloss and I think you may have done the teeth last and rushed them as the paint looks sloppy. I do the same thing, the last final bits like teeth and claws I always do a halfassed job just to get the mini done.
