Barbarian cat rider
I took this old grenadier piece made by Mark Copplestone and decided to give it a more striking pose since the barbarian is looking down and somewhat leaning back..only seemed logical he was descending a slope so I made the base from sculpey and fired that before attaching the mini and altered the cats pose from a more walking pose to a downward moving pose..altering the legs on different heights..I then added the cat and green stuff to the base..also adding a greenstuff fur for the riders blanket((my first attempt at this))..then adding the rider and started painting using oils and acrylics..the cat was originally going to be done as a sabertooth when I discovered they dont have long tail but short stubby ones..so with some debating decided to make it a fantasy tiger/cheetah type..I then added real foilage that grow beside my house as bushes((a type of tree moss I imagine))then dullcoated the whole things several times..the base is made from a curain rod end..wood..and stained with burnt sienna alkyds..I hope you enjoy him..comments very welome Mick
