Painted for my Warhammer Vampire Counts Army. From the first time I saw this miniature on this website (I have to thank Errex for his inspiring paintjob on this miniature!), I knew that I needed one for myself, in my opinion it is an awesome sculpt. Once again I stayed with the dark red/black color scheme which is used on all my undead minis but I thought that the edges of her armour (I don't know how it is called. Ornate plate?) would look nice in some kind of bone color. Btw. this is the first time that I used NMM on a fantasy miniature. I use it for my eldar quite frequently but up to now I thought that it does not catch the look of fantasy miniatures (when I use it I mean ;-) ) Hope you like her and of course, comments are always welcome.

The light sourcing on the pendant is brilliantly executed. It really complements the subdued palette. One of my favorite minis.

Sorry, I accidentally hit "Post it" too soon. My only minor criticism is that, if she is a memebr of a vampire army, I'd think the flesh should be paler, more of a deathlike pall.

Is the miniature actually painted in these sublte, earthy tones? If so then bravo! In a field dominated by intensely high-contrast miniatures this manages to really stand out. Consider it added to my favourites list!
