Nakai Kroxigor Ancient Lizardman
After my first Nakai attempt there were many parts of him I did not like, such as the closed mouth and mainly the pose. I wanted something smaller, more dramatic, more dynamic so I made the above sculpt. This one is smaller than the last, I hand sculpted each scale and added detail to them based on a snapping turtle scale design one by one. The length of his head alone (not including the neck) is just 1.2 cm long. The mace head patterns and designs were based off Incan and Aztec works and were drawn into the wet green stuff using a blunt scalpel (blunt because it does not pull or stretch the surrounding green stuff). The pattern as a result is small, I hope you can see it in the above image ok though.
