Ultramarine soldier

An Ultramarien Soldier. I tried to give him a "right after fighting" look. It was done after looking Jérémie Bonamant Teboul's "Miniature Painting" DVD. I tried a lot of new (to me) technics. Better pics here : http://blog.akewea.com/post/2009/01/25/peinture-space-marine-ultramarine-warhammer-40k

This looks like good crisp painting, but you're being underrated, probably due to poor photography. Have a look in the tutes section for some sound advice on the subject.

like the pipe although the person he was using it on might disagree judging by the blood

Nice job. I particularly like the shoulder pads; both the chipped paint and the grimy yellow trim. Everythings neat and tidy. A couple things I would address: I reckon there'd be blood on the end of that pipe if he's been hitting people with it, nice and shiny and fresh (Tamiya clear red?). Your highlights, whilst very neat and good, could be a bit sharper on the hard edges, such as above the eyes and kneepads to make them stand out a little. Great job regardless :).
