Pegasus (Reaper)

THE BASE IS UNFINISHED BECAUSE I NEED HELP; SEE BELOW! The coloration of this winged horse is based on two Real Life animals: The body has been painted to resemble Norwegian fjord horse (See http://www.hevosmaailma.net/fjord.shtml for one example; the picture I used had more yellowish coat). The wings belong to an Australian bird, Eastern Rosella (Platycerus eximius; you can see a picture of one at http://www.npws.nsw.gov.au/science/ubbs/ubbs01.html). I was utterly bored with the idea of a normal pegasos -- white body, white wings, ho-hum. And Garrity's splendid craftsmanship demanded more. So I decided to take a risk and test this idea; it took several days to find a suitable picture for the wings, and I had several bookmarked and I tried to locate lots of good pictures from the 'net, too. Alas, photography just doesn't capture the subtle wing colors as well as it should, so it doesn't look as pretty as it does 'live'. Base: Well, here's a problem. I want the base to resemble a cloud, but I have no idea what kind of material I should use for it. Cotton is right out, due to dampness issues. Any suggestions?

Oh, the wings look so nice. I like all those colors you've added into it. But the way you blended the blue into a chestnut coated horse doesn't exactly look right to me.

If you try to have the camera on a tripod, and dont use the flash, Photos will look much better

maybe I got you a solution. Have you tried vallejo plastic putty (sorry for the pub, don't know if I'm alowed) ? It comes in a normal vallejo paint bottle, and it has medium viscosity so you can keep adding it creating a cloudy effect. I'd use it to create a wave hitting a rock, which I'll be posting soon (check it when you r able) cheers
