The Thing That Ate Deck 17, Kat + Wyrd accesories.
This was my entry in to the first round of Iron Painter season 6. The theme was "the color purple". I love the Wyrd sewer accessory pack because the tentacles are just to cool. This round just screamed purple tentacle monster to me. I was originally thinking sewer scene, but after some thought and an examination of my on hand minis I decided to go scifi with a Hasslefree Kat mini. The dinky sword she came with wouldn't do however. She really needed a BFG, so a little clipping arm bending and a Wyrd gun latter she looked ready to battle an alien invader. I got to flex some basing muscle with this one making my own base with the attacking monster coming from below. Note the eye staring up through the floor grating I tried to make the purple tentacles be the central focus and keep the over colors more dark and muted. (Interesting note the tentacle color scheme was inspired by the Family Guy episode where after a nuclear holocaust Stewie grew a mutated tentacle body)
