My conversion of Calgar. I made the base from scratch using a dreadnought base and added a dead tyranid and some marine parts. The sword is also made from scratch and both the sword and shield are supposed to look like power weapons. He isn't finished yet, in fact he's still quite a way off being finished, but i thought i would put him on here to see what people think so far. Any comments would be most appreciated. Thanks for looking!!!!

The base needs a little bit more contrast, but I don't think the edge needs to be black. whoever's idea it was that started the tradition that all the base edge should be black probably was a member of a chess team or something.

I think he's well painted but it's hard to tell from the pic. Post some close ups and I'm sure you'll get some good feedback

great start,but the base is way too messy.it needs way more contrast and the edges of the base should be black and not the same color as the base.hope that wasnt too harsh ^_^
