Blood Angel Aphotecary

Hi there, painted this one up for gaming purposes. Thought i bring him up on ebay, as i really have explored myself the last couple of days. I really love to paint miniatures. But i only enjoy them while doing, not in my own cabinet... strange guy i am i know... This guy is a Marine from the Honour Guard - repositioned to try to make him look more like standing in a pose a classic historical miniature would do... painted in acrylics with some tests of water colour being used as very thin glazes. Also again i am really behind that zenital lightning thing as my light becomes stronger and stronger. I guess i am going to get to or more steps back... somehow it really looks pretty cool in natural, but on photos it stinks ;). Painted as a high quality gaming miniature. Really had Fun painting this one, for God's shake red is still a horrible colour to work i can not do still <--- master yoda would say ;) Keep on happy painting! Regards jar PS: Painted for a collector...

Great piece, just joined CMON and have been closely following your work, the zenithal lighting works very well, the yellow details and base look a litte rushed, overall however, an excellent job! keep posting!

a really nice piece but just 2 crits (not often i find anything bad to say about your work!) the red, as you mentioned seems a little flat. deeper, richer shading and a few more highlights would help. also, i don't like the water on the base, but thats just personal, the rest of the base rocks
