The axe blade was an attempt to be close to the original artwork, it's flat with some sort of rust effect on it. Didn't come out well, but I finished it 03:00am on games day morning!
The flies were very time consuming to do, and I will probably repaint them.
Yeah, i like the shield too, and you're right about the axe blade, it's just not working. What was the effect you were trying to achieve? I think the overall darkness of the pics, in spite of the white background, lets the mini down. I quite like the idea of the flies
