You've got the basics down, that's for sure- keep practicing and I'm sure you could be quite good. And remember that age doesn't count for much, it's years painting that matters.
Not the most fantastic paint job ever from a purist point of view, but there's something I really like about it. The washed-out look almost makes it seem like an old painting. I don't know if that was intentional or not, but I dig it. ;)
