Ghoul
This little bust, excellently sculpted by Romain van den Bogaert, was good fun to paint. The rather simple design with no unnecessary detail made it a quick thing to paint. The strength of the sculpt lies in the haunted expression of the wretched creature, so I really wanted to bring this forward as much as I could. I didn't want to go overboard with gore, either, so I kept the gore rather minimal. The blood has come out rather more brightly red than it really is. It's darker in real life, but somehow the camera won't acknowledge that. Anyway, hope you like it as much as I enjoyed painting it. Comments are always welcome. Anders
