So, here's finally my first miniature ever! ;)
Took me quite a while and, knowing it is not great, I'm still quite content with it.

As you mentioned some more highlighting would be a step forward - after submitting the mini, I painted on some more highlights and squad and chapter markings. I may post them here again when I based them properly, as that is one of the worst parts of the minis at the moment.
I agree with rogan. Great start, looks clean and the detail on the purity seal is amazing for a fist mini. Try to go more in depth with the highlighting on raised and vertically facing ares and perhaps some blacklining would make it look less flat.
The only part of the model that really kills it for me is the base. when basing always apply sand first, paint it then include the flock (grass) otherwise it just looks very static and unrealistic.
but apart from that a really great looking model. gotta love those eyes. you could even try 'ardcoating/glossing the eyes, but that's always by personal preference.

I really like how you painted the eyes, using the technqiues recommended by GW, if I am not mistaken. To improve the overall look of the mini you could add some highlights to the edges of the armour. Just mix some Skull White into the blue and gently brush along.
