The skin tone is because this mini is a literary character who is portrayed as having gold skin. So it's actually very fitting in context.

@Tidoco: Hey, check the bases I think he has painted a bunch of different versions of the same miniature using similar colourschemes. Paintjob is good, not a big fan of the skintone though. Sven
