Back into 40k after a 4 year hiatus, this is my first completed miniature. I was looking for a tabletop standard. Comments and criticisms are welcome as I wish to improve my skills.
Yeah, the paint was actually really thin on this miniature and it looked real smooth. However, I failed to shake the can of matte varnish enough and the first spray was mainly propellant which reacted with the paint and caused it to wrinkle up a little bit. =(
While I am not a fan of your colour choices, I do have to agree with nocturnas, this does deserve at least a 5, but in my opinion, it deserves a six. The painting is clean, there is shading, there is highlighting. And to me that means it is better than tabletop standard.
Hi there,
i found that people just voting and not even letting a 5 for this fig are kinda harsh and unfair.
At least let some comment and give advices for people to improve their work.
I found this crisis kinda ok for tabletop still need some work on contrast like shading and light effects.
Overmore i guess you should dilute a way more your painting.
keep it up!
