Haven't been painting in a very long time (~9 years), but decided to give it a try again. This is an old GW goblin I had lying around in drawer, and it was a good first practise subject. First try ever at NMM. Sadly the matt varnish wasn't perfectly matt, but then it was a rather old can. Comments, tips and critique are very welcome

Welcome back to the brush flintfish! I think this is an excellent paint job considering the break you've had! The paint is in all the right places (is neat) and the colour scheme works very well. The NMM is a good attempt, I won't try and advise you on how to improve the NMM as I haven't a clue how to do it myself! Good job and I look forward to seeing more from you !

Considering you haven't painted in ages, that's an 8 for effort, and to try nmm is great too - I'd say just keep painting and try some tutorials. Good luck...
