Bridge of Sorrows

This is one from the old Grenadier "Collossal Lords" series- sorry for the picture quality but the file was huge for some reason and to reduce it to the required size much was sacrificed. I painted this one 17....yes 17 years ago-that was my "glossy, shiny varnish era ":)-although not taking the varnish into account I actually like the paint job I did. If I ever find this model again I will do it justice. I've actually seen it in pewter. Comments are welcome and constructive criticism as well- by the way, the yellowish reddish blob he has in his claw is the poor damsel in distress.

Love this mini. Iron Wind now produces it in pewter.

I am actually building this at the moment. I got one of these when I did display work for Ral Partha. It was actually an early Ral Partha piece. The figures are really bad models and very 20mm, not even the usual smallish Ral Partha mini's so I am replacing mine with more "current" Ral Partha mini's to maintain the feel of the piece. The Dragon is an exceptional piece all by itself but the Bridge doesn't fit togethor very well. This model was also made in a resin variety late in Ral Partha's history because they thought it would cheapen the cost to produce. If Grenadier made this then it was a very long, long time ago and then it was bought up and reproduced by Ral Partha later in its life. Anyway thanks for the pic It helps to see these so I know how somebody elses looks to get ideas.

Finn, I purchased this model back in '86 or '87- it is made of lead--I have tried unsuccessfully to track down another one.
