To Dunkle Zeiten:
Yeah the cloaks and leather armour could be blended more. That's definitely something I should do if I want to improve them. It's just that I want to be able to finish the whole army before this fall. I just have to let the miniatures be finished eventually. I'm foremost an army painter and want to produce units that look great as a whole. Not someone who aspires to golden daemonhood ^^
But I appreciate the feedback. :)
The gems are however gloss varnished. Why do you think they're rough? The gloss varnish is what has given the impression of white spots in the lower areas of the gems.
Thanks a lot for the comment and the feedback. I'm glad you like them. :)
Altogether they are looking great, indeed an autumn mood is displayed. I think, some more blendings on the coat and on the horses' harnish can improve the miniatures a lot. The gems are looking good even in their roughness, but i think only gems should have covered by a glance varnish. I like the most the second left and second right horses at the first picture, they're looking very realistic. The bases comming along with these five minis are an awesome 9.5, so keep up the good work and have always fun.
