As he said, very respectable first mini. I would recommend going back and adding a clear coated 'varnish' by brush to the red chitin armor plates on your mini. (and only to the red chitin armor plates) I have seen this done before and I will testify that it will add a stunning effect to your work. It should be the icing on the cake. Once again, good job, continue to take pride in your work.
Congratulations on a very repectable first mini. The shading on the bone colour is neat & effective but the red is lacking a little depth. Never fear though, it's a tricky colour to use without turning orange or pink! Check out the Forums, there are various threads on painting red that should help with your next figure. An army painted like this will look very nice on the table indeed. B.
