Nurgle Standard Bearer
Here's an old school fig I did way back in '92-93 with some minor touch ups in and around 2000-01. It was to be the standard bearer for my Nurgle warband, old Realms of Chaos stuff. I wanted the model to represent all of his attributes and battle damage, if I remember correctly he lost his leg during a fight so I modeled the peg leg. The arm was an attribute Over Grown Body Part(?) or else it was some other large arm mutation. A pointed head, plague, and Chaos Armor rounded the character off nicely. The Mona Lisa was part of my renaissance period. During my art studies I was fixated on only this period of art. After moving into an electronics degree I kind of let that side of my painting go. Too bad really, I had so many other paint jobs planned back then all big grandiose stuff. Well, now I can start back on that and do some of the projects I always wanted to do. Most of the things I had been painting from this figure on have been for gaming purposes so they lack the detail I would like to have put into them. That’s all over now. Most of the things I’m working on now are strictly for display, no gaming. I think its been about 6 years since I’ve played a GW game and the only D&D game I was in used unpainted or pre-painted minis so there’s no chance of these getting damaged. Anyways tear into it and let me have it for such a flagrantly bad paint job.
