Ultramarine Terminator

Ultramarines seem to call me (well, my brush at least...). Really enjoyed painting up this one. Wanted to get a strong contrast between the reds of the base, and the blues of the marine himself (I'm a sucker for those photos of deserts, where there's that wonderful orange sand below a clear blue sky...). I didn't want to go all out on the symbols and icons, as I thought the gold was probably more dominant than you might usually see on these guys (and let's face it, UMs do like their gold ;) ), so limited it to one knee pad and the back plate. Hope you like him :)

Brother Captain

A realy nice termie indeed. Overal very good painting and I like some details like the gems on his armour, the white shoulderpad, the subtle dirt on his boots and I absolutely love the base. You MUST make a tutorial for the base both for construction and painting. :) My only criticism is about the pics. It seems like you used too strong lights and some of the painting is lost in all that light. Not that I can take better pics anyway.
