Plague Marine

One of the older (and in my opinion much better) range of Plague Marines. I used successive layers of PVA glue mixed with (I think) Rotting Flesh colour to make the green stuff leaking out of the hole in his armour. Not sure if the effect has worked or not

It doesn't come up too welll the photo, but the bronze actually has a green tinge to it (you can see it best on his left knee-pad) which works well as tarnish - quite appropriate for Nurgle I thought. I went with purple cos 1. I kinda like it and 2. the purple I used is, I think, rich in a way that infers a corruption, an 'over-ripeness', like spoiled fruit. You're right about the the shading. I was a little slack with this guy.

Purple and bronze seem too "rich" for Nurgle, but they look ok together. The dark purple needs some highlights, to make the figure's details stand out more.
