Angels Vermillion Dreadnought - AOBR Model Conversion
Hi! Well, I absolutely didn't like how I painted my Space Marines a while ago, so I decided to redesign the whole army. Since the new Space Hulk soon is available, I was inspired to do one of the chapters which where formed out of the legion of the Blood Angels. I pretty much liked the dark red and the chapter symbol with the little skull in it (You can see it on his right leg), so i thought that the Angels Vermillion would be cool, and here is the first model I finished - Brother Victor, dreadnought of the third company. I asume most of you know the original mini out of the Assault On Black Reach Box, so you may see that this one is a pretty large conversion, repositioning the legs and especially the arms and well, adding some cool bitz of course :) I wanted the dreadnought to look less static and more like the warmachine it is described as. I wanted to catch the feeling when you see that guy coming for you and the only thing you can think is "uh-oh"... ^^ Coming to the paintjob, I was pretty much inspired by the Blood Angel Cybot shown in the second edition Codex "Angels Of Death". You may especially see that in the painting of the details. I decided to do absolutely no battle damage and stuff like that on my Angels Vermillion. The reason for that is that the Blood Angels and their "sons" are known to be the most brilliant artists and their wargear is beyond perfection. So I want that army to look absolutely heroic and simply perfect - Well, so much of the blah blah, comments and criticism are of course welcome! cheers NothingInCommon
