It really does have a magnificent pose. AegisD is correct however in saying that your flash is killing the model. Great base to put the model on and the sand color for the 'ground' works but get a background that complements the model colors well but isn't too dark.
Set up lamps to help illuminate the model and take your pictures without the use of a flash, or if you have a flash tape a piece of wax paper to diffuse the light. Some hobby stores sell miniature lamps for painters that illuminate dark areas well.
Cool concept, paint scheme could be better, or maybe it is... I think the flash is your enemy here. I'm not photography expert but it looks like it washed out a lot of your paint job.
