Strong directional lighting is not your friend... looks promising though. Repost when you get a better pic (maybe with the base finished), I'm sure your score will go up.
More shading needed in the whites mate and in general. The face looks neat and full of character. Being based would definately make it look nicer to. I daresay the photo doesnt show off all the work done on this, but good mini photography is an art unto itself as i have learnt from my own bad pictures!!
