Death Korps of Krieg Artillery Spotter

Painted this guy for a local comp. A bunch of us are painting up Forge World pieces. This guy is going up against some of the really cool big and new toys, so I don't hold much hope, but it was a fun break from soem of the other stuff. I am also trying really hard to get my contrast levels up inmy painting, and I hope this was a step forward. Thanks for looking! -Scott

Right, the good - this is a nice solid paint job, there is nothing wrong with the colour placement or choices of colour. The 'not so'good - its a little dull, I've seen this before at most club nights etc. How to give it a bit of ZING. Add some other colours to the base coat especially in the shade areas. Such as the grey, shade it with very dark brown, shade the brown lether with dark green or blue/green. Start adding weathering, add that extra level of realism. Chip the paintwork, make things dirty and rusty... There you go, it's still a solid paint-job. I'm not trying to 'bum your trip, maaan!' You need to stop being a jedi knight and strive to be a jedi master!

I refuse to believe that in 38000 years, nobody has come up with a more sophisticated rangefinder... Great work though!
