Ghost Miniatures Rangers #3
I am trying out a theme I want to use for my Empire Army and have landed on Blue and Black with Gold trim. I “stole” this idea from the Mordheim Middenheim war band found in the Mordheim rule book. Blue was achieved by using GW Regal Blue by itself as a basecoat then Enchanted Blue was added in for successive highlights ending in Enchanted Blue by itself. The black was Vallejo Black first – then I mixed 50:50 into that Vallejo Black Gray and the final highlight was Black Gray on it’s own. The trick to black is to have few differences in shade between the darkest and the lightest. The gold dividers on the shields were simply: Snakebite brown followed by Bubonic brown. Finally Bleached Bone was mixed in to Bubonic Brown for the final highlight. See the other 3 pics in this series for other recipes I used on these figs. Questions and comments are welcome . . .
