First Mini Painting

This is my very first excursion into the world of miniatures painting. I definitely already know I need to work on thinning my paints and work on my layering. Gotta start somewhere.

definitely thin your paints all around, also lay a basecoat particularly under your metalics and thin those considerably. It takes very little to get that gleam, and will help you keep your details.

I know that this is your first one so don't get discouraged with your rating. Heres a few tips. Start with base coat then build up your layers with thin coats of paint. Don't make thick layers or you lose all details. Also try and learn how to do dry brushing its a good starting tecnique, pretty easy to do with practice. Good Luck

okay, it's a start. plus, you have the courage to post your pic. now, get a color wheel and watch the relationships between the colors. then, make sure that you are happy with the results. watch, ask, learn.
